Cookie Policy

Version 1.3 · Last updated 5 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our four websites: this website at gmdautomation.ai, the GMD Voice website, the GMD Rent website and the GMD Optimisation website, including the GMD Voice, GMD Rent and GMD Optimisation apps you sign in to there. It also covers the blogs we host for GMD Optimisation customers.

A cookie is a small text file a website places on your device. In this policy the term also covers similar technologies, such as browser local storage, session storage and pixels. We use them in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and the UK GDPR. Under those Regulations, a website may use cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you ask for without asking first. Since 5 February 2026, some analytics and functionality cookies are also exempt from the need for consent, as long as you are told clearly what they do and have a simple, free way to object. We still ask for your consent where this policy says so, and we set those cookies only if you agree. Any other cookie needs your consent.

1. This website

This website sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. It uses no local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, and it keeps nothing about you on your device. The only things it leaves in your browser are copies of its own pages and files, so that pages open quickly, and your place on a page, kept in the tab’s history so that the back button returns you there. Here is exactly what it does:

WhatThis website
CookiesNone, first-party or third-party
Local storage, session storage and IndexedDBNone
Analytics, advertising and tracking None. There is no analytics, advertising, tracking or session-recording technology on this website
Third-party connections None. Fonts, images and scripts are all served from this website, so loading a page sends nothing to Google or anyone else
Faster page loading When a link to another page on this website is on screen, your browser may fetch that page in advance so that it opens straight away. The copy is kept in your browser’s ordinary cache, like any page you visit, and nothing about you is stored
Your place on a page When you move between pages, the website keeps your scroll position in the tab’s history, so that the back button returns you to the same place. It goes when you close the tab
Browser settings Scripts check whether you prefer reduced motion and whether data saver is on, only to adjust animation and page preloading. Nothing is stored
Contact form What you type is sent to us only when you send the form. Nothing is stored on your device
Server logs Our host, Netlify, logs the requests your browser makes, including your IP address, so it can serve the website and keep it secure. This uses no cookies

None of this is information about you. It is needed to show you the website quickly and as you prefer, so we do not ask for consent and we do not show a cookie banner on this website. If we introduce analytics or any other non-essential storage in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before anything is set.

2. The GMD Voice website and app

Where a provider (Clerk, Cloudflare, Stripe or PostHog) publishes the name or lifetime of a cookie, the table gives the published figure, checked on 5 October 2026. Where a provider publishes none, the table says so. A provider can change them, and we update this policy when we learn that it has.

Cloudflare publishes no cookie names or lifetimes for the check and says it may use cookies and local storage to keep its state while it runs. Its only documented cookie, cf_clearance, belongs to an optional setting called pre-clearance, which we do not use

These are the times Stripe publishes

Your choice on the GMD Voice website

When you first visit the GMD Voice website, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies: the analytics identifier and the referral code in the table above. Neither is set unless you accept. Until then, analytics runs without storing anything on your device, and rejecting or ignoring the banner keeps it that way. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the foot of the website’s public pages, or by clearing the website’s cookies and other site data in your browser, after which the banner asks again. It also asks again after 12 months, or sooner if what it asks changes. If you change your choice to reject, the website removes the analytics identifier and the referral code from your device. If you follow a referral link, its code is added to the sign-up page’s address, and the website keeps it in a cookie only if you accept optional cookies.

3. The GMD Rent website and app

Your choice on the GMD Rent website

The GMD Rent website and app store nothing on your device for analytics, so there is no analytics choice to make; if that changes, we will ask for your consent first. We treat referral and partner codes as not strictly necessary, so when you follow a referral or partner link, we will ask for your consent before saving its code and will save nothing unless you agree. If you say no, you can still sign up, but the referral may not count and any free months offered through a partner link may not apply. You can remove a saved code at any time on the page the link takes you to, or by clearing the website’s cookies and storage in your browser.

4. The GMD Optimisation website and app

Your choice on the GMD Optimisation website

The GMD Optimisation website’s public pages count visits with PostHog, and its referral links can save a referral code. We ask for your consent before either stores anything on your device, and we save nothing unless you agree. If you say no, you can still use the website and sign up, but the referral may not count. You can remove what the website has stored at any time by clearing its cookies and other site data in your browser. Blogs we host for GMD Optimisation customers set no cookies, so there is nothing to choose there.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

You can refuse or delete cookies, and clear site storage, in your browser’s settings at any time. If you block the strictly necessary cookies on the GMD Voice, GMD Rent or GMD Optimisation website, you won’t be able to sign in there.

6. Changes and contact

We will update this policy whenever the cookies we use change. The version and date at the top show when it last changed. If you have a question, email us at enquiries@gmdautomation.ai. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
